Free health care advice for refugees: Melbourne project offers lifeline

Two doctors in Melbourne saw a need for culturally sensitive health information for refugees.

So, they started a program where people could meet health professionals in a comfortable setting, like a well where people gather.

The Water Well Project provides free health education on topics like diabetes, healthy eating, and mental health.

Since 2013, over 800 refugees have attended sessions, thanks to more than 150 volunteer doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers.
