A Canadian teenager, William Gadoury, has made a groundbreaking discovery by finding what may be a lost Mayan city.
The 15-year-old, fascinated by Mayan culture, noticed that many Mayan cities align with star constellations.
Using this theory, he projected a constellation map onto a map of Mexico.
Amazingly, he found that the shapes of the constellations matched the locations of 117 known Mayan cities.
William noticed that one constellation had three stars, but only two cities were known.
He hypothesized that a third undiscovered city must exist.
