In a push to decarbonize homes, Glasgow is testing innovative electric wallpaper in 12 historic tenement flats.
This cutting-edge wallpaper, designed by NextGen Heating, combines copper strips with graphene to produce invisible infrared heat, offering a gas-free alternative to traditional heating.
Installed on ceilings, it heats rooms within minutes, helping reduce both energy costs and carbon emissions.
The project is a collaboration between the University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow City Council, and West of Scotland Housing Association.
