Romania’s first 24/7 animal hospital for strays opens in Galati

Galati, Romania, has welcomed its first animal hospital dedicated to stray animals.

Opened in March by the Help Labus organization, the hospital has already treated over 300 dogs and cats.

This vital facility was established with support from a Swiss foundation, which donated essential medicine and medical equipment.

The hospital provides care for animals found sick or injured on the streets.

After treatment, the animals are monitored before activists work to find them loving homes.

Livia Petre, the hospital’s veterinary physician, shared, “We’ve had various surgeries, but mostly we treat injured animals and those with infectious diseases.”
