Electricity prices dropped last week across most major European markets, thanks to a surge in wind energy production, reports AleaSoft Energy Forecasting.
Prices fell in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy, the Nordics, Portugal, and Spain, with only the UK seeing a slight increase of 4.8%.
The lowest average price was in the Nordic market at €26.68/MWh, while Italy recorded the highest at €106.96/MWh.
Negative prices appeared in Germany, dipping to -€15.69/MWh on Oct. 13.
