Residents of Michaelston y Fedw, a village with just 300 people, united to solve their internet woes by installing their own superfast broadband.
Frustrated with slow connections, villagers, including pensioners, farmers, and teachers, dug over seven miles of trenches to lay the necessary cables.
Their hard work paid off, as the village now enjoys some of the fastest internet speeds in Wales, with 1Gbps download and upload rates.
The project began in the local pub, where complaints about WiFi led to action.
