This Thanksgiving, 2,000 homebound seniors in New York City will enjoy a special treat—thanks to Green Giant and their giant green bean casserole.
The company made history by creating the world’s largest green bean casserole, weighing in at a massive 637 pounds.
This feat required 780 cans of green beans, 53 cans of mushroom soup, 32 quarts of milk, and 65 pounds of French fried onions. It took six hours just to open all the cans!
Green Giant’s vice president, Jordan Greenberg, said this event celebrated their debut in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and helped spread joy to many.
