In response to President Trump’s decision to exit the Paris Climate Accord, Michael Bloomberg has pledged $15 million to ensure the U.S. continues its climate efforts.
His foundation, Bloomberg Philanthropies, launched “America’s Pledge” to support the agreement despite federal withdrawal.
Bloomberg emphasized that Americans remain committed to the Paris goals.
“Mayors, governors, and business leaders are joining forces to meet our emission reduction targets,” he said.
The U.S., the second-largest greenhouse gas emitter, has a responsibility to lead in combating climate change.
