A pioneering hydrogen-powered race car, fueled by sewage and built with recycled materials, is gearing up to break land speed records.
Crafted by students at Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) at the University of Warwick, the car runs on a byproduct from Severn Trent Water’s wastewater.
Known as the Waste2Race Le Mans Prototype (LMP3), it features recycled carbon fiber, a beetroot waste wing mirror, and a battery salvaged from a crashed car.
“This collaboration is about breaking boundaries,” said Professor Kerry Kirwan of WMG, celebrating the ingenuity driving this eco-friendly innovation.
