Whole Foods is joining forces with Elon Musk’s SolarCity to go green.
The popular grocery chain will install solar panels on nearly 100 of its 431 stores.
This move is part of a new agreement between Whole Foods and SolarCity.
The solar panels will be custom-designed for each store.
This will maximize energy savings and reduce reliance on the power grid. SolarCity will start the installations this spring.
Whole Foods will benefit from lower electricity costs. By purchasing power from SolarCity, they will lock in cheaper rates for years to come.
This will make Whole Foods one of the top 25 solar-powered companies in the U.S.
