Team recycles wood from abandoned homes diverting tons of wood waste from landfills

Deconstruction rather than demolition — this is one of the key ideas of the Baltimore Wood Project, which aims to recycle urban wood waste. ⁣

Led by Mike Galvin, the Baltimore Wood Project in the USA aims to salvage wood waste from buildings to repurpose and resell locally.

According to Mike, wood is an abundant, renewable resource that we should be using more.

In Baltimore alone, there are 4,000 Baltimore rowhouses slated for demolition over the next four years.
