In an incredible display of determination and compassion, a group of young students has successfully raised an impressive $300,000 to build a state-of-the-art, disability-friendly playground at Glen Lake Elementary School. Previously, some students were unable to partake in the joy of recess due to the lack of inclusive equipment.
However, fifth-graders Wyatt Feucht and Rhys Riley took it upon themselves to make a change. Through their unwavering dedication and a series of fundraising initiatives, including spare change collections, bake sales, and community outreach, the students reached their goal. Now, their sights are set on bringing adaptive playgrounds to other schools in the district.
