A new online marketplace, Boop, is making waves in the beauty industry by rescuing ‘wonky’ cosmetic products from ending up in landfills.
Founded by Yasmine Amr, a former legal counsel for L’Oréal, Boop offers discounts of up to 70% on quality products that would otherwise be discarded due to minor imperfections or packaging changes.
With France already banning unsold cosmetics destruction and similar laws in the works for the EU and UK, Boop’s approach aligns perfectly with consumers’ growing sustainability concerns.
