London welcomes its first zero-waste supermarket

London’s first zero-waste supermarket, Bulk Market, has opened in Dalston, Hackney.

This pop-up shop will run until October 25th, before moving to a permanent location.

Bulk Market offers a wide range of products, including fruit, vegetables, dairy, eggs, oils, vinegar, beer, and wine.

Shoppers simply bring their own containers, fill them up, and pay by weight.

Founder Ingrid Caldironi, a former retail marketer, wants to make waste-free living easy and accessible.

She emphasizes that you don’t need to be a hardcore environmentalist to participate.

Bulk Market sources its produce locally and avoids big-name brands.
