An anonymous guerrilla artist is using colorful mosaics to transform Europe’s worn-out streets and make them safer for pedestrians. Ememem, a street artist based in Lyon, France, has gained recognition for his unique artwork, which he calls “flackings.”
Inspired by a pothole in front of his workshop, Ememem created a beautiful mosaic using self-tailored plaster, without any premeditation. His art, which often resembles uncovered archaeological relics, has already caught the attention of the authorities, with six pieces commissioned by the Lyon authorities.
Ememem’s work is a testament to the power of creativity and its ability to inspire and transform our daily lives.
