A couple in the UK has achieved great success with their innovative Airbnb property, the AirShip 002. Designed and built by architect Roderick James and his interior designer wife Amanda Markham in just ten days, the aluminum-clad capsule structure has stunning Highland views and costs $205 per night to rent. The property was the most wish-listed Airbnb rental in the UK in 2020 and is booked over a year in advance. Although it cost £100,000 ($124,000) to build, the project has already made its money back since its creation five years ago.
The AirShip was initially designed for fun, but the couple stumbled upon a perfect plot of land and decided to build it.
