Wednesday breakfast club: Teens bring comfort and connection to grandma’s kitchen

In a heartwarming tradition, students from Bishop DuBourg High School in St. Louis gather at Grandma Peggy Winckowski’s home every Wednesday for the uplifting Wednesday Breakfast Club. Originally started by her late grandson Sam Crowe, the club transitioned to Grandma Peggy’s kitchen after his tragic hit-and-run death.

Despite the initial grief, the teens rallied around their ‘grandma,’ creating a comforting bond and a weekly feast. The Breakfast Club stands as a testament to resilience, friendship, and the enduring spirit of Sam Crowe.
